i don't know

I was talking to a friend the other day and he said a very very nice thing...what he said was that we humans should learn to say "I don’t know".... people tend to think that they know everything but the fact is that either they have heard about a particular topic form somebody or had read a little about it somewhere... so when somebody asks them about it they tend to say everything out so confidentially....i'll give an example...we as a group of friends were sitting around a table when one guy asks us about the use of contraceptive under religious laws?? one answer that Christianity doesn’t allow it...while the other answers(personal opinion) as Islam allows it...so i was sitting there wondering how do they know religious verdicts?? they tend to say their answers with no justification they r just being pure prejudice....none of them wanted to admit that they don’t know!!! its would be ok if this question was a general one...meaning not referring to any specific religion… but in this case moral values, religious perspective and fear of slander was involved...so we have to be real careful when answering these questions....in conclusion when we don’t know an answer or we’re not sure about it then we should juz say in plain words "I DONT KNOW!!!" sheesh.... i am sure its not that hard... or maybe it is...

There's a saying I've always been fond of; "It's better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt".
