The Hypocrite Man
In the general usage of the word 'hypocrite' almost any and every one can be labbled as one.
Examples of the general usage are:
How parents tell their children to go and sleep early, whereas they themselves sleep late.
How a doctor tells the public not to smoke but he himself smokes.
...etc…
There are countless other examples on this.
The more technical definition as stated in the Webster dictionary of the word ‘hypocrite’ is :
-A person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
-A person who acts in contradiction of his or her stated beliefs or feelings
Now what we notice from the definition is that this word is mostly used in the context of religious believes, feelings and virtue.
So the overall simple to understand definition of this word is that of a person’s belief without his/her action.
Hypocrite=Belief-Action
Why did i write this post? well it was to remind people to be more carefull when using this word. It should be used in the right context and not be played around with. This can turn out to be a very dangerous word.
